Never mind though, chin up soldier, cos all is not lost. I have purchased a nice new Flat Panel monitor from Dell of all people. (Mainly cos me dad got a discount off, but there we go).
Its a 20.1" Wide Aspect jobby, so nice amounts of space to do stuff, max resolution of 1680x1050, so it's rather good at game playing, as 1280x1024 is no problem. Not that i go much above 1024x768 usually, but you get the idea.
It has four usb 2.0 ports built into it as well, so you can plug cameras and stuff in, although it looks a bit untidy with usb cables hanging out the sides, so i haven't really bothered with that just yet. It also has the capability to rotate from landscape to portrait, which although is a nice gimmick, i don't think i shall be using that very often.
